The Petaluma Nationals are one step closer (just one win away) to earning the title of American Little League Champion.  They won their game today with 11 runs and are now scheduled to play this Saturday (August 25) for the National Title.  (If they win on Saturday, they play on Sunday for the World Championship.)

So, where to watch the game?  Some may watch at home, while others may prefer to watch the game at a sports bar, cheering on the team with other fans.  And there might even be some who aren’t interested at all.  If you can’t decide where to watch I have a  suggestion.

Join the rest of downtown as we celebrate the 7th Annual Taste of Petaluma (TOP).  If you are into watching the game, just about every major television downtown will be tuned in to watch the Petaluma Nationals take the title.  McNear’s, Maguire’s, TAPS, Tres Hombres, Rosso, Mi Pueblo, Brixx, Velascos, and Dempsey’s will surely have the game on.  That represent roughly every television of worth in downtown…all tuned in to watch the Petaluma Nationals!  You could go in, sit down, order some food, and watch the game…but that isn’t our style here in Petaluma.  We don’t like to limit ourselves.  We want to watch our sports but we also want to have great food and drink.  We are all about the food and about wandering around downtown on a warm Saturday afternoon.  So instead of holing up in a single location to watch the game, buy your TOP tickets and then wander from location to location sampling each restaurant’s food while catching up on the score.

And imagine this…even if you used your TOP tickets at ALL of the above listed restaurant’s, you will still have a ticket left over.  That’s right, NINE downtown locations with large screen TVs will be showing the game and even if you tried the food at every one YOU WOULD STILL HAVE A TICKET TO SPARE!!!  Just about every location that you would want to visit to watch the game is already part of Taste of Petaluma!!!  Could it get any better??? I think not.

Here is what the best TV locations in downtown will be serving for your TOP ticket:

McNear’s:  Korean Pork Mini Tacos + Sailors Punch

Maguire’s:   Beef Sliders w/Cheddar and Potato Chips w/Bacon

TAPS:   Beer Braised BBQ Pork Sliders with Orange Cream Slaw

Tres Hombres:   Mexican Spring Rolls

Rosso:   Burrata on Bruschetta w/Prosciutto, with Spaghetti + Meatballs

Rosso's Cheese - it's unreal!

Mi Pueblo:  Chicken Tamales

Brixx:   Sweetheater pizza (chicken breast, bacon, gouda & BBQ sauce) or NorCal (veggie pizza)

Velascos:   Tacos Dorados

Dempsey’s:   Carnitas Slider w/Lime Slaw & Taster of Beer

That’s nine locations, for nine innings.  Do you think you can even eat that much food?  Well, don’t look now but even if you stopped into every single of those locations you will still have one ticket left over.  And if you are a group of more than one, you will likely have multiple tickets to use at other locations because some of those portions are big enough to feed two people.

What are you going to do with your leftover ticket(s)???

menu.

If anyone is wonder where I will be and what I will be doing this weekend…go back to the top of this blog and read it again…there are some clues hidden in there somewhere.
